Syntax Erik - Keep It Deep EP

Syntax Erik is Raymond Hansen, originally from Tromsø, now living in Oslo. He released his debut EP as K.Y.D in 1997, and a string of 12"-ers in 2000/2001 as a part of the duo Kyd & Kango (collected on the High Above CD on Beatservice in 2001). An EP was released under the Syntax Erik name in 2002 on Rune Lindbæk's Romklang label, and he has later done remixes under this alias for the likes of Mari Boine, Anneli Drecker, Flunk and The Familiar. He has been producing lots of tracks the last years, mainly for his own pleasure, and the lucky ones following him on SoundCloud. Finally, he has opened up his vault for a string of EP's on Beatservice Records. The "Keep It Deep EP" is the first one, with three housey tracks with hints of deephouse, a dash of TB-303 acid and dub elements. In addition, fellow Beatservice artist Kohib has done a smashing remix of "Hello My Name Is Raymond", in a tongue-in-cheek Tromsø-Techno style.
